January 28, 1863 · Corson's Inlet
The full-rigged ship Mortimer Livingstone, sailing from Le Havre, France, to New York, was driven ashore and wrecked in Corson Inlet on Jan. 28, 1863. She carried 120 passengers. Two of her crew were lost.
